Our coaches were once people who in some way felt weak, broken, or unconfident in ourselves.

People who become accustomed to failure, eventually become unafraid to lose.

We have slowly built our skills over the years, eager to share our challenges and experiences with others.

We have made mistakes, and worked hard to learn from those mistakes.

We have learned humility, and serve as a guide for those who look for the next step.

For us, training is just as much mental as it is physical. We train to keep our bodies strong and our minds even stronger.

Vigor Strength Studio aims to push a new standard of personal training & strength coaching for regular, struggling people. Like us.

We follow the scientific principles of strength training, and use our collective coaching experience to create a purely positive and progress driven environment for our people.

 

Coach Chelsea

Chelsea began her fitness journey in high school and quickly learned she wanted to dive head first into exercise science and never look back. Chelsea received her B.S in Exercise Science from USM in 2015. She has experience coaching people from all walks of life, with many years spent working at a geriatric fitness facility. Working with people and making their visions come true is one of her passions. Outside of the gym you can find Chelsea spending time with her husband, baby boy & pup, Henry.

 

Coach Jaryd

Jaryd received his B.S in Exercise Science fro the University of Southern Maine. USM is also where Jaryd became serious about his fitness journey. Jaryd has experience coaching people from all walks of life, from middle schoolers, high school athletes, to adults. He has experience of working at other gyms in the area. Working with people and making their visions come true is what drives Hard. Outside of the gym Jaryd enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, gaming, and hanging out with his dog, Onyx.

 

Coach Aliyah

Aliyah’s fitness journey didn’t start until after she got her BSN from St. Joseph’s College of Maine in 2017 and became a nurse. Fitness was actually the last thing on her mind. On a whim, Aliyah attended a free workshop in 2018 to learn more about lifting and hasn’t looked back. She found her passion for fitness though lifting and enjoyed helping others feel empowered by getting stronger. In her spare time, Aliyah enjoys competing in powerlifting, hiking and spending time with family and friends. Aliyah is living proof that you can he fit at any size!

 

Coach Cali

Cali’s passion for exercise and fitness began in middle school when she discovered her love for ice hockey and continued through high school were she was a 3 sport athlete. Cali graduated in 2021 with a B.S in Athletic Training. Throughout her college career she had the opportunity to work with many athletes from ages 7 to 87. Cali’s goal now is to take athletic training away from the sidelines and incorporate her skills and knowledge into the non traditional setting. When Cali isn’t at the gym you can find her hiking trails with her pup, Ranger, or riding her Harley.

Julian Despres & Zachary Russell were born in Maine, returned to Maine for their college education, and are here to support the community with top notch strength & conditioning coaching in a positive & High energy environment.
